excellerating problem

I have trouble with a 2001 hyundai coupe. the check light in the dash is on and the car is not excelerating properly. foot to the board it is only going about 20 miles an hour. I got it tested on an eletronic machine and it highlighted a misfire in the middle two cylinders. the mechanic put in a new coil and plugs but it hasn't helped the problem. any ideas

It could be an issue with the wires that connect to the spark plugs.
