Q.  What is AnswerPond?
A.  AnswerPond is a service where you can ask questions and receive answers from other AnswerPond members.  What makes AnswerPond unique is that you have the option of offering Pond Points to have your question answered.  By offering more Pond Points, members will have an incentive to give you a faster and more thorough answer compared to other question and answer services.  You can either purchase Pond Points or earn them by answering questions.

Q.  Do I have to pay anything to register an account?
A.  No, registering for an AnswerPond account is FREE.

Q.  What are Pond Points?
A.  Pond Points are used to ask questions.You choose how many Pond Points you want to offer to the member who answers your question. Pond Points can also be used to earn prizes.

Q.  How do I earn Pond Points?
A.  You can earn Pond Points by replying to open questions. When a user selects your reply as the "Correct Answer", you are awarded the Pond Points for that question.

Q.  What are Knowledge Tokens?
A.  Knowledge Tokens are received when your reply to a question is selected as the "Correct Answer" by the member who asked the question. Knowledge Tokens are used to determine your ranking on AnswerPond. As you earn more Knowledge Tokens, your ranking increases and is visible to other members. This allows question askers to better determine how knowledgable you are before selecting your response as the "Correct Answer". You earn 10 Knowledge Tokens for each reply that has been selected as correct.

Asking Questions

Q.  How do I ask a question?
A.  Click on “Ask”, then type in your question and a brief description of your question that will appear to other members on the main page.  Be sure to specify how many Pond Points you wish to offer the member that answers your question.  Your question will remain active for 30 days. When you receive an answer that you are satisfied with, simply click on "Accept as Answer" next to that reply in order to close the question.

Q.  How many Pond Points should I offer when asking a question?
A.  The amount you spend is entirely up to you.  The minimum is 25 and the maximum is 20,000.  Generally, the amount you offer should be determined by how quickly you need the answer, and how involved an answer you want.

Q.  I want to purchase Pond Points. What payment methods does AnswerPond accept?
A.  AnswerPond accepts Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, and PayPal.

Q.  I asked a question and I received a reply that answered my question.  What do I do now?
A.  Once an AnswerPond member has replied to your question and you are satisfied with the answer, you should click on the “Select as Correct Answer” button next to that person’s reply.  This will award the user with Pond Points and Knowledge Tokens.


Answering Questions

Q.  What if I see a question posted that I know the answer to?
A.  If you see a question posted and you know the answer, you can reply to the question.  If the member who asked the question is satisfied with your reply and they select your reply as the “Correct Answer”, you will earn the Pond Points for that question. You will also earn 10 Knowledge Tokens. Please try to keep your reply as professional and polite as possible.  If you are not 100% sure of your answer, state that in your reply.  If your reply is determined to be incorrect or inappropriate, AnswerPond’s experts may delete your reply, thus negatively impacting your user rating.  The intention is to give question askers the best possible answers and to make AnswerPond a valuable resource for others with similar questions.


Prizes

Q.  What are prizes?
A.  Prizes are items that can be redeemed by using your Pond Points. Available prizes can be found by clicking on "My Account", then "My Points", then "Redeem Points". When you find a prize that you would like to order, click on it and then click on Purchase. You must have enough Pond Points to purchase the prize you like. Items that are available can vary from week to week.
