fuel pump bad or good?

I have a chevy 96,silverodo and i replaced the bottom end of the motor from the heads down went from rolleer cam to old school and during the switch i broke off the oil sending sensor and the eng. coolant temp. switch and i need to know if that will make the fuel pump not pump proper pressure i get a little pressure but not what is needed i already bought the fuel pump but have not put it in not sure if thats the promblem.

It is quite possible if the CPU is getting a signal of 0 oil pressure, it shuts the fuel pump off.

no you should have fuel pressure when you crank the engine even if those sesnors are broke off
