i had my head gasket changed in january, but because my car wasn't blowing out any hot air the mechanic done something to the pipes so only hot air would come through, iv been having trouble with it overheating for the last 2 months and breaking down, ive taken car back to the garage and he said because its been overheating its caused the head gasket to go again.would this have something to do with him connecting pipes so only hot air comes through?
it is possible, i not sure of laws in u.k, but over here in u.s.a, they cannot or are not supposed to do whatever they did with out your "written" approval, and you signing it where it says that by him doing this , there is a chance of it overheating and warping your heads again, so i beleive that if you did not sign or have any knowledge of him doing this to your vehicle, that you can find the garage responsible for the warping of the heads becouse of them doing something that was not ethical, or the correct way of fixing the original problem, i would look into that, they might fix it for you, to save them from a costly legal battle
silly answer bowt new car. the mechanic has obviously fluffed up.he has connected pipes wrongly and doesnt know his stuff.go to trading standards and report him .ask him exactly what he done and put it in writing as he should not even repair a house brick.if you post his details i am willing to fight your corner for you as i am a very proficiemt mechanic.and i know the law on cowboy workers.
