nope they can and DO sell your mortgage to anyone they want, at any time they want!!!!

I myself for over 4 years thought wells fargo held my mortgage. But just recently I found freddie mac owned my loan. You can go to freddie mac site, give some info. And find out if they hold your loan. Otherwise look though all the pages of your mortgage agreement.
