how do i make a car start after a year?

If a car is let alone without starting it for about a year and wont start then, what do I have to do to make it start again?

certainly fresh fuel and empty tank to ensure there is no water from condensation in there.give the spark plugs a good clean and the points if it has any.the air filter needs checking make sure nothing is living in there like a ton of spiders.it wouldnt hurt to put a teaspoon of fuel in the sparkplug holes before you put them back in.
a fresh new battery would help cos after a year the old one will not have the oomph in it any more.if you can get to the starter motor make sure the helix and sliding cog is free to move give it a squirt with plus gas or wd40.
fingers crossed it will start.dont rev the hell out of the motor just keep it above tickover until it is warmed up.
before starting obviously check and if needed top up oil and water.the tyres will certainly need to be looked at.

It could be any reason why the car isn't starting. I've left a car sitting for a year and then started it up with no problem.

Gasoline is the first thing that comes to mind as it probably degraded over time. Try removing the old gas, putting some new gas and try the ignition a few times until the new gas gets to the engine.

Make sure the battery is charged, and it has gas. Pop the hood and make sure there are no obstructions in the engine area. If the car was in good working order, it should start right up.

I think roamininsomniac is rite. U can't start a car without a charge to the battery u shuld start there. Then empty out the gas line & gas tank replace with fresh gas. Also make sure u dnt have any emimies that wuld of messd it up lol :) :) gud lukj
