how to help a sick hamster

I went to clean the hamster cage & it smelled awful & looked awful. It's eyes were almost shut completely and it was moving slowly and seemed dizzy. It's eyes have since opened & it has drunk a little water. This is my daughter's that she purchased 2 months ago.

hi have you got a salt lick or minal stone in the cage for the hamster.it need this for extra vitamins. you can also buy vitamin drops in a bottle for baby hamsters just put few drops in their food. without the salt lick or minal stone it could make them slow and seem lifeless. the stone should be placed by their drinking water. male hamsters have a stonger odour to females. i clean my hamsters every weekend,this should be enough to stop the smell.
