If the exhaust also has a sweetish odor, it could be a small leak in the head gasket. It could suddenly get get much worse.

Your dealer, Mitsubishi website, oil change places may know how much oil. Loosing coolent and gaining oil is a bad sign too.

White smoke on startup is definitely coolant in the cylider(s). Bad head gasket or cracked head. Will not go away, do not try radiator sealant, wont do any good. What is happening is when the car is shut off pressure in the cooling system is pushing water into the cylinder(s). When you start it, the coolant gets burned off creating white smoke. It could get much worse. If the cylinder fills with enough coolant, when you go to start the engine, the piston could "hydraulic" in the cylinder, that is come up on compression with no place for the coolant to go, and bend a piston conecting rod (expensive to fix). Get it checked out asap. A simple cylinder compression check will tell you which one is bad, but only pulling the head for inspection will tell you if it is a head gasket or cracked head.
