how can you tell if a garden snake is a boy or a girl

According to the site below ,it is not easy to tell the sex of a snake and people need to be careful when handling the snake for the checking since snakes may get upset when manipulated. It is suggested not to do it by yourself and let a vet do it.

Genaerally, if the snake has a tail that is long and narrow to the point of the tail, it is a boy. When the tail seems to suddenly be blunted at the tip, meaning there is a very short space where it narrows from the diamter size of the snake to the tip, its probably a female. So, a long narrowing tail would be male, otherwise a female. This is the case with most snakes.
