i'm looking at a used 2002 vw passat that as 173,000 miles the ower wants $ 5,000 is thia good deal the car is in ex. cond.

with that many miles you will soon start to have problems that is lot of miles too much money even for ex condition.if in doubt phone a dealer and ask them for that money you can get something with less miles on the clock.

you will find that the engine no matter how well looked after will be coming to the end of its usefull life and things like camshaft pistons and rings etc are wearing beyond thier limits and also the road train ie wheels suspension bearings etc will be also the same ie like an older person that is an oap is very unlikly to break the records in the olympics.the car should be a lot cheaper so as to replace the parts would be financially fesable.if you were in uk i could sell you a lovely car for half that money and much less miles,
