it just wont fire

I have a 91 toyota 4 runner 3ltr v6, i have just replaced the rocker cover gasket. i had to remove the air intake pipes to do so. I think that i have disturbed the airflow meter wiring as the engine now will not fire. I have checked all associated pipes and plugs, the engine turns fine but wont kick into life? How can i check the airflow meter?
