0he tricks polythemus into letting them out by giving the cyclopps wine and blinding him whilst he was asleep and when polythemus let his sheep out in the morning the men tied themselves to the bottom of the sheep as they passed when they escaped polythemus tried to throw a rock at the ship and missed so he prayed to his father to make oddeyseus, journey ever so difficult for him
