Kawasaki disease is a leading cause of acquired heart disease among children mainly between 2 and 5 years old. It was discovered in Japan . The child gets a high temperature (fever) and a rash and many other symptoms as described at the site below.There are also some heart problems which may occur at a later time. If detected and treated early , some of the heart and vascular problems can be minimized.
