If you see an image (such as startup messages) as soon as you turn on the PC, and then see nothing for a couple of minutes until Windows starts up, then it may just be a video card driver problem. That can be solved by downloading the latest video card drivers from your computer manufacturer.

However, if you don't see anything on the screen until a minute or so passes then keep in mind that CRT monitors (most common type of monitor) take longer to warm up than LCD monitors do. So it usually takes a CRT monitor a minute or so to warm up. That is normal.

If it takes longer than 2 minutes for the monitor to display an image, it sounds like you may need to replace the monitor if that really bothers you.

Good luck!
