my car ran out of oil and shut off. i got a jump and added oil but now my car has no power & rough idle

Sounds like there is a major oil leak. Unfortunately this repair will probably be very expensive and there is not much we can help you troubleshoot in a "do it yourself" fashion here. I recommend bringing the car to a qualified mechanic.

It locked up. A car shuts down and locks up without oil. Likely needs a new engine.
