my truck will not start. i thought it might be the fuel system but now im stuck.

i have a 1995 ford f150 xlt and it will not start. 2 days ago i was sitting in the driveway with the truck in drive and my foot on the brake it tried to surge forward and it bogged down, i gave it a little gas and it was fine then i tried to put in reverse and it died. i changed the fuel filter, forward fuel pump and the relay switch. ive ran out of stuff to look at. help please

It may be the cables on the battery were lose and ran it dead
