I have just replace my clutch on my nissan primera 5 door hatch 1991-1993 model.
I am now having trouble starting. there was no spark coming from the coil and have replaced the coibut still the engine does not start.
My question is is there an ignition lockout for this to happen or isit something else.?

the car has what is called an ignition module. that is the most common cause of not getting spark. you can remove the module and have it tested at your local autozone for free. if this doesnt fix the problem, the best thing to do is to buy a hanes manual, it will show you step by step how to fix the problem.

If it was running before the clutch job and now it wont start, the most likely cause is you forgot to plug something back in or damaged some wires. Most likely its the crankshaft sensor. Not possitive where it is on your particular model, but most are near the harmonic balancer and some are in the bell housing near the fly wheel. The crankshaft sensor tells the computer what position the crankshaft is in so the computer knows which plug to fire and which fuel injector to fire when. If this sensor is unplugged or wires damaged the engine will crank but cant start. Will cause no spark and no fuel because the computer doesnt know the engine is turning.
