The best time to propagate is spring cut a 3 - 6 inch section of the stem away from the branch dip the tip of the cutting into a jar of water to help prevent sap from leaking out of stem add some rooting powder. Place into a pot of compost mixed with sand which will prevent propagsting from rotting, water well at first then after first watering water only when the potting mix dries out. Be carefull not to overwater as this will cause stem to rot.
