Hi,
I found the following instructions from the allexperts site:
With your mouse select Format>Labels
Select the label format you are going to be using. In this window you can also create a custom label if the one you want is not listed. After you select the label you want to use the screen will show a grey page with a single white label in the upper left corner. Remember, each label is counted as a pagethe grey zone around the label is just sort of a reminder that there's more good stuff to come.
Go ahead and enter any information you want on the existing label. Now, if you print your label all you will print is the single label in the upper left corner. Ahh, that's where the fun comes in. With your cursor at the farthest right position (at the bottom of your current label of course) press Ctrl+Enter. This will place a Hpg code in the document forcing the generation of another page. Remember . . .?? Each label is an individual page. When you look down in the far right corner of your screen you'll notice that the cursor position is now on page two.
If you want to print a whole sheet of identical labels now you should highlight (select) everything on the screen, including the hard page break and press Ctrl+c (copy). Now, position your cursor on page two, press Ctrl+v (paste) and . . . voila . . . you have a label on page two (and your cursor on page three). Just press Ctrl+v a few more times and you will fill the grey area with labels. When you advance to the second real page (or sheet) you will see an actual page break. Now, when you print you will get a full sheet of labels printed.
OK, so what if you only want to print three labels from the middle of the sheet (you already printed the first sevenor whatever?). Now for the hard part. You're gonna have to count a little bit. Just press Ctrl+Enter until there are enough blank labels displayed to make up for the labels you already printed off the sheet. Begin your data entry on the appropriate label and you can print to any label on the sheet.
The important thing is to remember that WP treats each label as a page.
Here's another little tip for printing perfection Always feed your label sheet into the printer with the portion containing labels going in first. It's a bit stiffer and will help avoid paper jams. With that in mind, count first, and print the last label on the page instead of the first one. If you've got 23 labels left on the sheet and you only want to print six, do the Ctrl+Enter thing until you get to page 18. Then enter your data until you get to page 23 and print your job. You'll print the last six labels on the page. |
