you can go to http://www.murray.com/region.cfm click on region (north america), then click on get manuals, in that manual it will show you where the starter is, it is usually a round approx, 2 1/2 inches round unit located near the lower rear of motor, but it will show you exactly where and will also show you all the safety switches on the mower to check to make sure they are good, becouse chances are it is one of these switches went bad, you ,can by pass the switches to see if it then works, by disconnecting the switsch, and the plug that goes to the wire harness, take a paper clip and put one end from one side of the plug to the other, basically completing the circuit on that plug but be careful not to let the clip touch any metal as that will spark or ground the wire out and either blow a fuse or burn a wire up, and on the www.murray.com website it will "locate dealers", or be able to buy right from that site, under "buy parts" just make sure you put in the make and model, in for the mower you have, this site also has a "service/support" button to tell them the problem you are having, and they will suggest a remedy or direction for you to take

hope this helps
