sonata fuel issue

i have a 1996 hyundai sonata,if i pinch off the return line with a pair
of vice grips the car runs smooth, when i take the vice grips off the
return line,the car runs rough and stalls out,can you tell me why this is.

Check the fuel pump, fuel filter and injectors. are you seeing any fault codes?
My guess is that the fuel flow rate is too fast due to a faulty pump.

you may have water or trash in you gas u can go to a macanic and they can test your gas to see if you have any water in it
