what would cause sores on the back of my throat?

There are many possibilities such as cold , flu , throat infection, mumps, measles , tonsilitis (inflammation of the tonsils), bronchitis.... Some will need antibiotics to avoid future complications. Information about voice change, swallowing difficulties , fever, and duration of the problem and other symptoms besides sore throat may lead to diagnostic.
