That is very open ended.. do you mean if we were farther away and therefore took longer? Because that would freeze all the water.. and we would be similar to mars in temp...

Or we could just have a hotter sun, and be twice as far away... then the seasons would be longer...

Honestly I am not sure what you are getting at...

How do you know it doesnt already. Maybe a year should only be 182 days. But if not, then the year would be 730 days beacuse it would have been dumb to set up a year as a half an orbit.
