Dear Rhonda,
Swollen feet symptom is also called edema which means accumulation of "water" in the legs and feet. There are many possible causes. It can be from standing and sitting for long terms. Diabetes, cardiovascular problems, high blood pressure, clots, kidneys malfunction or some medications sometimes are the main cause, but sometimes just standing too long does it. Keeping the legs elevated (pillow under leg), sport activity and the use of elastic stocking may alleviate it. It would be advisable to see a physician if it is painful, or the skin is affected or you observed other symptoms.
