I have replaced the temp sensor "just to the rear of the thermostat housing"
I obtained another gage.
nothing i have done so far hsa worked.
Did I change the correct temp sensor. Engine runs good, no engine check light.

Thanks

The haynes manual for your car should have the appropriate voltage readings for the temp sensor. This can give you a better idea of where the problem is. It may be the wires between the sensor and the gague but before putting a lot of time and effort into it double check with a voltmeter.

Oh also be sure that the area where the sensor is located is in fact getting hot. Check the fluid coolent levels and ensure that the coolant is circulating.
