first thing is make sure you have a good thermostat? if it is coroded, and not opening, it will not circulate the fluid, is the radiator full? how old is the radiator fluid, have it checked to make sure it is still good., is there water in the oil?, if a whitish frothy substance is on the inside of the oil cap, it is a sign of blown head gasket,. or if there is oily residue inside of the radiator cap, also sign of blown head gasket, i'd start with the thermostat, make sure it is good, and has the correct degree thermostat, usually 195 degree thermstoat, but check with owners manual to be sure.. good luck, and hope this helps

all sounds like good advice but if no luck with any of that i would check water pump, ive seen first hand on 4 or 5 ford cars the impeller paddles missing so the water pump looks like a saw blade
