torque specs for straight eight

Question by pontiac Reward: 25 Pond Points + 10 Knowledge Tokens Status: Pending a resolution
Hi! What are the torque specifications for a 1939 Pontiac straight eight engine?

Digging those out would be tough. Actually torque specs are specific to the bolt, size, grade, maybe thread, and not the engine. A grade 8 half inch bolt takes the same torque in any engine. A search should give the grade code from the marks on the bolt head and the torque. On a head, you start in the middle and work your way out.
