We all can, if we can read at all. Who noticed that you started with a small w and had 2t's in writting ? Most people probably didn't. There has been a study where a whole paragraph that makes no sense at all word for word is presented to people and they can read it ! The brain fills in the missing words, etc, as they scan along. So why bother writing correctly ? Well, sometimes words are so close in spelling but different in meaning that it is important to get it right.
