why did my bunnie die?

i had 2 bunnie rabbits...i had them only for a month...when one moring i woke up to go feed them and i found one of them just layin there..not movin. So i took him out and he justt fell sideways..when usually he'll start running around the house. and he died about ahour later, and like 3 times he would put his head back n stretch his legs ..i dont know what was happeing to him. My other bunnie died aweek after that the same way...i dont know what happend to them.
could you help me out

It is sad to loose 2 pets .It is not possible to know why only from the description. Since both died at a short interval it could be :

1) something they ate.
If the bunnies were let out they could have eaten some toxics such as fertilizers on the grass or some food or stuff in the house that was toxic for them.
2)An infectuous disease that was fatal. The first one gave it to the second one who died later .
Pasteurellosis is one of them . The bacteria is normally found in the fur and when the immune system gets weaker (from high temperature or other reasons ),they get sick.

we broyght our three year old daughter a bunny for her b/day and it died as well but we found out that if you feed rabbits lettuce it gives them diareaha also cellery .We found out the hard way its so sad when your little girls crying on your knee wanting to know why her rabbits run away.Now she has 2 and $120-00 later were all happy.
