its a leap year
imagen if ya birthday was on the 29th you wouldnt have a birthday for 4 years lol

A year is the time it takes for the earth to make a full orbit around the sun. The solar year is 5 hours, 48 minutes, 45.51 seconds. Thus, every 4 years we are about 1 full day behind astronomically speaking. Leap year helps to correct this.

because the earth does a quarter of an extra rotation every year so every four years we have a leap year adding a day to february.
