will grill inserts restrick too much air flow for engine

i have a 2003 silverado HD deiesel i purchased putco diamond shaped grill inserts for a better look they off set my present diamond shaped grill will this restrick my air flow too much and cause my engine to over heat in summer hot weather pulling my camper thanks for any help

It will restrict airflow which will ultimately reduce the life of the engine and other components. But your question of whether it will "restrict too much air flow" depends on many factors. If possible, I would recommend leaving the factory grill. The amount of restricted airflow may or may not be negligible. It's your judgement call.
