If you get caught in the rain and your clothes get wet you feel much colder if it is windy than you would if there was no wind. Why?

Since water conducts heat more efficiently than air, the heat from your body is removed more rapidly, giving you the cool feeling. If its windy, the wind carries the heat away from your body (convection) faster than if no wind, compounding the cooler feeling (like a wind chill).
